Biographical Note
Shang-Wen Wang comes from Taipei, Taiwan. After finishing his B. A. and M. A. in Philosophy, he obtained a scholarship issued by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan to study abroad. In 2002 he went to Berlin, Germany and in 2003 was accepted by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hermann Danuser and began his doctoral study in Humboldt University of Berlin. In 2011 he finished his doctor thesis “Hören als Verstehen. Über das Musikhören im Lichte musikalischer Hermeneutik und ästhetischer Subjektiviät” (Hearing as Understanding. On the Musical Hearing from the Perspective of musical Hermeneutics and Aesthetic Subjectivity) with the grade magna cum laude and came back to Taiwan. He worked as postdoctoral fellow in Academia Catholica of Fu Jen University and taught Introduction to Aesthetics, Music Aesthetics, Basic Logic and History of Western Music in Soochew University, Fu Jen Catholic University and Chinese Culture University. Since 2015 Shang-Wen Wang is fulltime lecturer in Graduate School of Philosophy and Religion, Assumption University of Thailand.
